Little Lane Workshops, a renowned creative studio in Warriewood run by Sonia and Carl, is known for offering inspiring, hands-on art and craft classes to their thriving community. They approached me in early 2024 to host a natural perfumery workshop that would be immersive, soulful, and beautifully aligned with their vibrant studio space.
The Vision
Their goal was to offer something fresh and unique to their community: a workshop that combined artistry with sensory wellbeing. It needed to be taught by an experienced facilitator, feel premium in its delivery, and fit within a three-hour format.
The Experience
I designed a signature natural perfumery program tailored for Little Lane’s community. Guests were welcomed with a glass of bubbles on arrival, before settling into an atmosphere filled with natural scents and storytelling.
I guided participants step by step through the intuitive process of natural perfume creation — weaving in history, rituals, and the soulful benefits of working with botanicals.
The guests created their own bespoke 9ml natural roll-on perfume, crafted from our full palette of essential oils, ensuring a wide variety of tastes and preferences can be expressed. They also created a luxurious natural bath soak, packaged in an elegant glass jar to take home.
The workshop was interactive, hands-on, and deeply personal, with guests encouraged to trust their senses and creativity. Nibbles were served throughout, adding to the warmth and hospitality of the experience.
The Impact
Since the first event in early 2024, I’ve now run the Natural Perfumery Workshop over five times at Little Lane, with 50+ attendees from their community.
Each session consistently received strong and positive feedback, and the latest event sold out.
Guests often comment on the immersive, soulful nature of the workshop and leave with two beautiful creations they can use at home.
Sonia and Carl have been thrilled with the collaboration, describing Sensoriam as a joy to work with, and have continued to invite us back.
This ongoing partnership highlights how natural perfumery can seamlessly integrate into creative community spaces, offering participants not just a class, but an unforgettable sensory journey.
