A LeaderHERship Scent Experience with Zoho

There is something powerful about giving people a moment to pause within a busy event.

To step out of conversation and into something more personal. Something creative. Something they can feel.

When Zoho reached out about their International Women’s Day LeadHERship summit, they were looking for exactly that. A way to add something meaningful to the day, while still fitting seamlessly into the flow of a large-scale event

The Vision

Zoho were hosting their very first LeadHERship summit at Novotel Darling Harbour. A full-day event designed to bring together women in leadership through conversation, connection and shared experience.

They wanted to introduce a perfume-making element. Something interactive. Something memorable. Something that aligned with the themes of leadership, confidence and empowerment.

From our first conversation, it was clear this needed to be more than a workshop.

It needed to work within the natural rhythm of the event. Guests arriving, networking, moving between sessions. It had to feel effortless.

We designed a roving scent bar experience that guests could engage with at their own pace throughout the event.

The Experience

We created a fully customised scent bar, designed specifically for the LeadHERship audience.

A six-note scent palette was curated around themes of clarity, confidence and grounded leadership. Bright citrus notes to energise. Florals to support expression and connection. Warm base notes to anchor and stabilise.

Every detail was prepared in advance to ensure the experience ran smoothly on the day.

From early morning, we were set up and ready as guests arrived. Positioned outdoors with a beautiful view across the city, the scent bar, with 4 stations set up to run simultaneously,  became a natural gathering point.

Over the course of the day, around 60 guests created their own personalised perfumes.

Each experience took around ten to fifteen minutes. Guests moved through the process with ease. Smelling, selecting, blending, and leaving with something they had created themselves.

It integrated seamlessly into the event. Open during arrival, networking, and breaks, allowing people to participate when it felt right for them.

The Impact

What stood out most was how naturally it fit.

Guests were drawn in with curiosity, and stayed for the experience. Conversations flowed more easily. There was a sense of lightness and creativity that complemented the energy of the day.

It offered a different kind of engagement. Not just something to watch or listen to, but something to do. Something to take away.
