Blow Bar Co, Australia’s premium blow dry bar with salons in Sydney CBD, Balmain, and Bronte, offers its staff monthly team experiences to foster creativity, connection, and culture. They invited me to deliver a natural perfume-making workshop for their team at the Bronte salon.
The Vision
The goal was to provide the staff with a bonding experience outside of their usual work, while giving them something unique they could talk about with their clients in-salon — an experience that felt creative, premium, and wholesome, aligned with Blow Bar Co’s brand ethos of empowerment and beauty.
The Experience
I transformed the Bronte salon into a scent-filled creative studio after hours. The evening began with a full Sensoriam scent bar set up in the space, showcasing our curated collection of 100% natural perfumes for the team to explore.
I guided the group through the art of natural perfumery, inviting them to create their own bespoke 9ml roll-on perfumes. Each bottle was styled with botanical elements — dried flowers and crystals — to enhance the feeling of personal beauty and power.
Blow Bar Co provided drinks and nibbles to add to the celebratory, relaxed atmosphere, while I curated and facilitated the entire perfume-making journey. The salon was filled with laughter, creativity, and the uplifting scents of natural botanicals.
The Impact
This was a beautifully fun and memorable team experience that strengthened staff bonds and gave them a new creative outlet. The salon was filled with unique, natural scents — reinforcing the sense of wellness and beauty that Blow Bar Co embodies.
The staff loved learning about natural perfumery and working hands-on with botanicals, describing the experience as healthy, creative, and empowering. Every team member left with a luxurious, personalised roll-on perfume, something they could talk about with clients and proudly carry with them.
The collaboration was also featured in Blow Bar Co’s magazine, extending the reach and celebrating the partnership.
