When Nike and Studio Messa approached us to design a scent experience for the House of Victory, I knew it had to be something bold, unforgettable, and unlike anything guests had ever encountered before. This was Nike, after all. A brand that stands for performance, style, and culture. Our task was to translate the feeling of victory into scent, and deliver it at scale — for hundreds of women stepping into Nike’s “House of Victory” activation in the heart of Sydney.
As the founder of Sensoriam, my work is rooted in the power of natural perfumery. I believe that scent is more than something you wear — it’s a way of experiencing the world, a tool for memory, mood, and identity. So the challenge was irresistible: how do you capture victory, bottle it in a way that feels luxurious, and guide guests to make it their own — all within a 25-minute workshop?

Designing Victory in Nine Notes
The starting point was the palette. Victory isn’t one-dimensional; it’s layered. There’s the rush of elation, the grounded strength, the sweetness that comes after struggle. I curated nine essential oils, each chosen for their symbolism and their harmony in blending.

Every oil was 100% natural, distilled directly from plants, resins, and woods. That mattered to me. Victory, after all, is about truth and integrity.
A Premium Experience, the Nike Way
The activation had to feel completely Nike: sleek, modern, aspirational. We styled the scent stations with slate trays, black placemats, elegant scent bottles, and marble displays. Even the 9ml roll-on bottles were custom branded, becoming both a keepsake and a personal trophy for each guest.
Every detail was designed to flow. Groups of 12 rotated through every half-hour. Guests were guided by simple recipe cards, ensuring no one felt intimidated, and yet every perfume was unique. My role as facilitator was to bring it to life — to spark curiosity, to share the stories behind each note, and to hold space for play and creation.
Over three days, more than 400 perfumes were created. Every one of them different. Every one of them a scent of victory, bottled.

The Impact
The response was electric. Every session was booked out. Waitlists formed. Guests described it as “so unique” and “far more personal than I expected.” Some laughed as they blended citrus with wood, others paused to inhale deeply, surprised at how moved they felt by a particular note.
By the final day, demand was so high that we opened an extra after-hours session — just for the staff who had been working tirelessly behind the scenes. They, too, deserved their moment of victory.
Influencer coverage amplified the experience across Instagram, highlighting the originality of blending scent and sport. For Nike, it was a campaign that embodied style, culture, and performance. For us at Sensoriam, it was a chance to show how 100% natural perfumery can elevate a brand experience into something unforgettable.
