Evergreen Scent of Cedarwood
Cedarwood is a beautiful, majestic fragrant tree. The first use of cedar dates back to ancient Egypt where it was extracted for cosmetic purposes and funeral ceremonies. The tree has cultural significance in many countries, in fact it is the emblem on the national flag in Lebanon. Cedar can live up to 3000 years.
It’s the foliage of the Cedarwood, mostly from trees grown in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco or Virginia in the USA that are steam-distilled to produce the oil. The Cedar leaves have a natural aromatic dry, vibrant, woody note bringing structure and elegance to a fragrance.
